How long does the battery last?
All SensorPush sensors run on a single, user-replaceable CR2477 coin cell battery. The standard HT1 sensor typically lasts 1+ year per battery, while the water-resistant HT.w and the extreme-accuracy HTP.xw typically last 2+ years thanks to their more efficient sensing components. The battery is easy to find and swap yourself — no tools or subscription required.
Can I monitor my sensors remotely, from anywhere?
Yes. On their own, SensorPush sensors connect to your phone over Bluetooth (up to 100m/325ft line of sight) and log locally. To check conditions from anywhere in the world — not just when you're in Bluetooth range — pair your sensors with the SensorPush G1 WiFi Gateway. The Gateway relays your sensor data to the cloud so you can view live readings, graphs, and alerts from any browser or the mobile app, wherever you are.
Does it require a subscription?
No. There are no monthly fees, ever. Your SensorPush sensors and the optional G1 WiFi Gateway include full access to the SensorPush Cloud service, unlimited data history, and email alerts as part of the one-time purchase price.
What happens to my data if the sensor loses connection?
Nothing is lost. Every SensorPush sensor stores its own readings on-board — over two weeks of history on the HT1, and over a month on the HT.w and HTP.xw. If your sensor goes out of Bluetooth range or your internet goes down, it keeps logging locally and automatically backfills the gap in your app the moment it reconnects.
Are the sensors accurate enough for sensitive collections (wine, cigars, instruments)?
Yes. The HT1 offers ±0.3°C temperature and ±3% humidity accuracy for general use. The HT.w steps up to ±0.2°C / ±2% RH with a water-resistant design. The HTP.xw is our extreme-accuracy model at ±0.1°C / ±1.5% RH, plus barometric pressure monitoring — ideal for wine cellars, humidors, greenhouses, and other environments where small fluctuations matter.
Can the sensors be used outdoors or in humid environments?
The standard HT1 is designed for indoor, dry use only. The HT.w and HTP.xw feature a water-resistant sensor membrane and O-ring seals, making them splash and rain-resistant — suitable for basements, greenhouses, sheltered outdoor spots, and other high-humidity areas.
How many sensors can I connect to one Gateway?
There's no set limit — a single SensorPush G1 WiFi Gateway can monitor an unlimited number of sensors within its Bluetooth range (up to 100m/325ft line of sight), making it easy to track multiple rooms or storage areas from one hub.
What do I need to get started?
Just a sensor and a smartphone. Download the free SensorPush app (iOS or Android), pair your sensor over Bluetooth, and you're monitoring in minutes. Add the G1 WiFi Gateway later, at any time, to unlock remote access and alerts.
Will the sensors work with my phone?
SensorPush sensors are compatible with iOS 11+ and Android 9+ devices that support Bluetooth 4.0+ (Bluetooth LE).
Do I need to open ports on my router for the Gateway to work?
No. The SensorPush G1 WiFi Gateway uses fully encrypted outbound connections only, so no incoming ports need to be opened on your router or firewall. It connects over 2.4GHz WiFi or a wired Ethernet connection.
